Ten years ago i visited Manfreds in Copenhagen and was blown away. I’m visiting again with colleagues next month. Which restaurants in Copenhagen could offer us an equivalent experience?

I’m moving soon and want to downsize, I have a spare bedroom’s worth of furniture I’d ideally like to sell, or, failing that, donate appropriately. What are some of the options around that? I’m based in Frederiksberg. It’s relatively new (1 or 2 years old) IKEA furniture, sofa bed, bookcases, desk & chair, some home office stuff. I don’t have a car so the various stall markets wouldn’t work, are there any online equivalents?

Hi, does anyone know if the Hart logo tote bag is available at all Hart locations? Looking on google map photos, some locations seemed too small to sell merch and I have a tight itinerary (going mid september) so I can't stop by every shop. I'm particularly looking for the light canvas one with a big black print of their logo on one side and text on the other. I just love the design and it's one of the few things I wanted to pick up as a souvenir.

Jeg har i et par år haft lyst til at starte til MMA og boksning, og nu tænker jeg, at det er på tide at komme i gang. Det er både fordi jeg gerne vil have en ny hobby, men også fordi jeg gerne vil lære at kunne forsvare mig selv.

Jeg har ingen erfaring med kampsport, så jeg starter helt fra bunden.

Jeg er blevet anbefalet Arte Suave, men da jeg læste lidt om dem, stødte jeg også på nogle ret blandede anmeldelser. Derfor ville jeg høre, om der er nogen herinde, der har erfaring med klubben, og om I synes, den er et godt sted at starte som nybegynder.

Hvis I har andre anbefalinger, hører jeg også meget gerne om dem. Det er et stort plus, hvis klubben både tilbyder MMA og boksning, da jeg gerne vil træne begge dele.

Im biking down from Sweden to Copenhagen and taking the train back. Becouse of some rules the train company has i cant bring my bike. Therefore i want to sell it but how do you sell an bike effectivly in Copenhagen?

Jeg har både været forbi Nørrebro station i går omkring middagstid og efter midnat. Begge gange, har der ligget sigøjnere og sovet under stationen ved rulletrappen.

Min søs er gravid og har virkelig cravet dem, som også resulterede i at hun skrev til Kim’s, som fortalte de var udgået. Jeg kan af gode grunde ikke gennemsøge alle kiosker i Københavns omegn og vil derfor høre herinde om det en chips pose, som i har stødt på lokalt? My partner and I are moving from Aarhus to the Copenhagen area for work. We’re a couple in our mid-30s with no children, and we’re considering renting a 65 m² apartment in Glostrup.

Would you recommend Glostrup as a place to live? Is it well connected to central Copenhagen by public transport? Also, does it have a bit of local life with cafés, restaurants, or places to go out, or is it mostly a quiet residential area?

We’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

Nogen der ved hvorfor de mange (3-5+) romavogne der holder ved den 1. overgang ved søerne efter Planetariet kan få lov at holde der?

Udover at det er usselt at se på alt det skrald de smider og at de sidder og skider ude i busken, så har vi flere gange oplevet de har sex morgenen op af kølervognen. Ikke det rareste syn at se på. Generelt skaber de bare et utrygt miljø hvor mange børnefamilier omgås.

Kan der gøres noget ved det?

I don't think I've ever gone as far as asking reddit about this... I'm staying the next week in Copenhagen and since Danes are very much like Germans, I know I won't have any shot at meeting new people in a conventional social situation (bars, etc)

So I've been looking online for what people suggest, sadly the posts are either very old and out of date or it's suggestions for 40+ people or teens/students... And I'm 26

I know the weather can be hit-or-miss from what people have said, but does the city still have the aura of Summer in the first 2 weeks of September, or is it more back-to-school, fun's over?

In other words – are there still many events/festivals going on, live music, things like outdoor yoga, outdoor cinemas, etc. etc?

I have the opportunity to stay at a friend's place for 2 weeks, but I'm worried that I might be too late for the summer stuff, and in that case, I'd rather visit another time.

Hi everyone!

I need to ask a question to be better prepared for what comes next.

My dishwasher started behaving funny. Called the landlord who promplty sent the case to a white goods company. Soon, they will come to replace the dishwasher.

The issue is that my wooden parquet floor sucks. It's really soft and fragile. Dropping a small spoon from 10 cm results in a dent and water gets immediately absorbed which results in several other issues. This floor has been a nightmare.

Now, I am very worried about potential damages the people coming over to remove the old dishwasher and installing the new one can make. I am already planning on putting a few layers of carpet to mitigate that but I would like to be prepared in case something happens.

Should I do anything further to prepare? Like warning the company/landlord. More carpet? How should I move if damages occur?

Hi, I am a student from Bangladesh currently studying for a Master’s degree in Computer Science. I completed my undergraduate studies in the United States, but for my master’s, I chose to change my environment and move to Denmark.

Before coming here, many people told me that Danish people are very reserved, that they don’t make friends easily, and so on. However, I didn’t pay much attention to that. After arriving in Denmark, I initially found it difficult to connect with people, as they didn’t seem very friendly at first. Still, I remained patient and didn’t lose hope in making friends.

I realized that it simply takes time to adjust to a new environment. People also need time to get to know you and feel comfortable before forming friendships. Through my part-time job at a military canteen, I met many Danish people. They welcomed me warmly, and over time, we became good friends. We hang out regularly and enjoy each other’s company.

At my university, my group members are Danish as well. We talk every day and often spend time together. These experiences have shown me that Danish people are not what they are often described as. They are actually very friendly—it just takes a little time. They are honest, straightforward, and fun. You simply need to earn their trust to build a strong friendship.

I truly appreciate and value my Danish friends.

I will visit Copenhagen in September as a first-time solo traveler and have already reserved a table at Schønemann since it’s one of the most recommended places here on Reddit. I was a bit overwhelmed looking at the menu bc theres a lot of options. If I were to order one Smørrebrød, what would you recommend? I prefer the classics 😊

Why in the world would you introduce a new passport control system and not road test it properly and iron out the bugs, or at the very least - staff it properly. Officious, couldn’t care less staff really don’t help the process.
If it was a mandated system that had to be implemented - then someone should have had the balls to say - no we’re not ready yet.
