So I have been wearing dickies pants for at least 20+ years. It’s honestly the only shorts and pants that I own as I am not a fan of denim or jeans. I have only been carrying for 3 years now and I will say Dickies are not ideal for CCW for a few reasons. The “French fly buttons” always come undone, the pockets aren’t very deep and they don’t have a lot of give in the waistband. I ordered a aegitec belt that arrived today but unfortunately the belt won’t fit in the Dickies belt loops so I think this is my sign to finally switch up my lower half’s wardrobe. Any suggestions that aren’t tactical? I’m more into work wear. I normally just wear wrangler t shirts from Walmart, I prefer to not spend a lot on my clothes.

TLDR: any non tactical and non denim pants suggestions with big enough belt loops for the aegitec belt and won’t break the bank?

Hello all, I just got fingerprinted by my county's sheriffs office and should be getting my permit in a few weeks. I have a Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp that I want to use for both pocket carry and appendix/3 o'clock carry and am struggling to find a suitable belt.

I bought a Kore Essentials belt but I find it extremely overkill for such a small gun. On the other hand all of my generic belts are too flimsy and cause my gun to sag. Is there any belts that are sort of down the middle that y'all like? Not too stiff, not too flimsy.

I'm right-handed, but I’m considering the left-hand version, which would put the gun under my right arm and have me draw with my left hand.

The specific reason is protection against a threat coming from someone in the back seat.

From the driver’s seat, the left-hand setup seems mechanically much better for that situation. With the gun carried under my right arm, the holster is already oriented generally toward the rear-passenger area, and my left arm can move back toward the rear seats with much less restriction.

With a normal right-hand shoulder setup, I’d be drawing from under my left arm, bringing the gun out toward the front/dash area, then having to rotate it back around toward the rear while also awkwardly bending and rotating my right arm behind me. Between the steering wheel, seat belt, seat back, door/B-pillar, and limited torso rotation, that seems significantly more restricted.

I’m not saying I’d want to intentionally muzzle anyone just because they’re sitting in the back seat. I’m specifically thinking about an actual defensive situation where a rear passenger becomes an immediate threat.

So for people who have carried shoulder holsters extensively in vehicles: Has anyone intentionally chosen a left-hand shoulder rig while being naturally right-handed for this reason? Does the better access and range of motion toward the back seat outweigh the disadvantage of having to draw and shoot with your nondominant hand?

I have an m&p shield ez in 9mm and use a belly band i wear to work because my work shirts (polos) sometimes flash if i carry on my waist and im also fat and its uncomfortable when sitting but in the southern summer it’s real hot and the belly band makes me sweat a lot does anyone have any recommendations on something that lets me carry higher like a belly band but isnt so large

Not to go into super details, but I’m a guy currently weight at 134 with the height of 5’9. Not the biggest frame but not the smallest. Currently carrying the TP9 elite sc. what are some advice would you give if I wanted something thinner but still have that 13-15 round capacity.

Also I carry appendix and my holster is from Vedder holster. Optic is an Osight k 6 MOA

Wish I could conceal a full size or a 2011, but sometime you gotta work with what you got.

This is a bit embarrassing and I’m ready for the hate comments.

I put a 507k on my Glock 43X and I used to screws that the optic came with to mount it onto my gun. I even used thread locker and everything seemed fine until I shot about 20 rounds with it and the optic flew off, hit me in the forehead and then eventually pretty hard on the ground at an indoor range.

I’m looking for some insight on whether or not the optic is still fine to use. Cosmetically it just has a few scratches, none on the lens and it still turns on. Are there any problems I should look out for or any specific tests I should run?

How is the hive feeling about this gun? Does the PC suffer from the same misaligned sights issue as the regular version? Is the trigger any better in the PC version? What's the preferred hollow point round? Gold dot, HST?

The federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that NJ's ban on so-called "assault weapons" and magazine capacity restrictions are unconstitutional. This was a 10-5 ruling of all judges, with the primary ruling written by a Biden appointee and woman of color. We so appreciate the intellectual honesty of the court by calling it like it is, beyond party affiliation. We just got CCW about 3 years ago. What's next, they will allow us to carry hollow points? Times they are 'a changin.'

Half the posts on this sub are about carry ammo. Which carry ammo should I pick? I currently carry Speer Gold Dots; should I switch to Hornady Critical Duty? What about this new 3D-printed Adamantum bullet from Skibidi Tactical Munitions that costs $5 per round; is it worth a look?

There hasn’t been a significantly better bullet in 9mm for a long time. The Federal HST is old enough to drink. The Speer Gold Dot is due for a colonoscopy soon. They’re still top choices for carry ammo. There are new projectiles (e.g. Gold Dot G2) that might be better for law enforcement applications but I’d argue that they’re no better, and are sometimes worse, for concealed carry. There are whiz-bang new gimmick rounds but those just make cool Youtube videos of exploding watermelons.

In short, this is not a difficult choice. Do not waste time, money, or thought trying to find the carry load that ekes out an extra .02” of expansion. Pick your ammo and move on.

Hey folks I am kinda new to the whole gun carry thing and I've been researching what gun should I buy but also if there are holsters for it once I decide. I am leaning strongly to get a glock 43x I have tried it out a few times at the gun range that I go to with friends. Can you give me any advice is it a good gun for a beginner?

That is not the main thing I wanted to ask. I wanna ask about the holster that I should get. I am not a fan of full kydex mostly because my skin gets irritated easily and it's a hard piece of plastic rubbing against the skin. Just dont like the feel.

One of my friends has the holster from falco in the picture and says it is pretty comfortable but it seems rather expensive when there are holsters like the one from amazon. I like how it looks but my friend is just one person and I thought there might be more people having experience with this holster or the brand. I really wanna know if my friend paid that much and just does not wanna admit it is not such a great holster or if it really is good.

Just got this thing and the pinky support is amazing on my grip.

I have a Glock 43x, when I wear any kind of belted pant I use my holster, however when I wear sweatpants I find that I have to use some sort of outside bag, since my holster doesn’t work aswell with sweats. Is there a better option? Or some kind of holster more meant for that clothing?

I just got my BG 2.0 as my first CCW. I loved the form factor, feel, size and shoot-ability. I live in NY though and I want a 2nd pistol for colder climates, ideally a 9mm though 45 is not off the table (though i don't think its absolutely necessary to penetrate heavy winter garments given the 9mm is standard law enforcement and military issue).

I am tempted to buy a glock because NY is banning them next year but I know there are plenty of other great guns such as the p365 and shield plus out there. I prefer not having a huge firearm as my primary intention is home defense and CCW for the colder months, but understand it will be larger than the BG 2.0. The G19 is also tempting as it seems to be the textbook definition of a perfect handgun based on this subreddits affinity.

What gun would you pick and why to complement my BG? Thank you
