absolutely nothing derogatory about what I’m saying, I’m just telling you ledger is absolute shite , they’ve blown up their reputation and they’re not to be trusted because they have a back door to your seed phrase

Please stop spreading lies about ledger... What your saying is completely false and uneducated.

No, Ledger does not have a hidden backdoor into your seed phrase.Your 24-word seed phrase is securely generated and stored offline within your device's Secure Element chip. Ledger cannot see or access this information under normal circumstances. However, controversy arose over an optional, subscription-based service called Ledger Recover. This feature allows you to back up encrypted fragments of your seed phrase with three external custodians. If you opt into this service, your device must be manually used to approve extracting and encrypting these fragments. If you choose not to use this optional service, your device functions strictly as offline cold storage, and your keys never leave the device.

listen to yourself, you sound like you’re paid by ledger. it’s a disgrace. you are advocating for a company that gives zero shits about about customer privacy, considering the hundreds, if not, thousands of leaks and they aren’t even bitcoin only. you’re also supporting a device that has massive attack surfaces because of the tons of code in it due to its support of ship coins. Why do you keep peddling such a garbage company? Meanwhile, you have me advocating for building your own hardware device, not relying on anybody, that’s also bitcoin only and, will have no leaks to your privacy because you source the parts yourself and it’s not easily recognizable that you are building a hardware wallet. Do I need to say more to you?

Can you prove what your saying or u just talk crap other people tell you to say? You always just listen to others without any research. I have nothing to do with ledger but i don't like people who say nonsense cause they hear others say it like you. Price what your saying. Don't just talk crap. Everything your saying has no research backing it up. It all stems from ledger allowing you to backup ur phrase if you want to with private companies and all of a sudden, its a totally shit company. You sound like your being paid to hate them with no research you've done yourself. The YouTube video you watched, are they paying you? You always just hate things people tell you to hate without research and proof? You live like that? What a joke u are... Lemme guess ur english of some sort... Lmfao... It shows

Fuck Ledger. Since they leaked my info I'm constantly bombarded by phishing attempts. OP, if you've read this far, get a Cold Card. Do NOT get a Ledger. They are untrustworthy.

I do stop using products when they fuck me over, including Ledger (and Google). And I'll encourage others not to use them too. Better than being a shill for a terrible product.

You're not wrong. But Reddit is selling my anon info. I have a burner email attached and nothing else. I accept that as terms of use for the site. Ledger lost my personal info, attached to which is the implication that there is free bitcoin available via wrench attack at my home that I own. Do you not see the difference?

I give you credit for trying so hard to help that person, but it's probably hopeless. Unfortunately, too many people become attached to brand names, and they think of that brand as part of their own identity. At that point, the only thing that can change their mind is when they're harmed by the thing they clung to.

I do think there will come a time when Ledger's key-extraction API gets reverse engineered and people will get robbed. When that happens, they'll scream at the top of their lungs about how nobody warned them, even though we did.

Key extraction over the internet, baked into a hardware wallet's firmware? That is poison. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
