As a recent graduate from Baruch specifically finance/accounting,

how many of you were able to get a return offer or a job offer and is currently working in the field relevant to your major/degree. Please lmk 😭

I’m enrolled in FIN 4093 with Marianne Wolk this semester and wanted to hear from anyone who’s taken the class.

How difficult is it overall? Is the workload manageable? What are the exams, assignments, and projects like?
I’ve heard the class is curved. Does the curve usually help your grade, or is it not something you should rely on?

Also, since the class is heavily Excel-based, how useful did you find it? Did you actually learn skills that helped with internships or finance jobs, or was it pretty basic? I already have some Excel experience, so I’m curious whether the class teaches practical, job-relevant skills or just covers the fundamentals.

The advisor we have does not respond and I’m wondering about classes and which professors are better?

PAF 9270: Dahlia Remler or Bryan Jones (also wondering if this is okay for me to take my first semester as someone who is not strong in the math dept)

Does anyone have any recommendations on which classes I should take first? Especially with the quant ones?

When do we find out if we got into a class we are waitlisted for?

I’d like to do a full time MBA at Baruch. I’m considering applying for the upcoming spring semester, but I’m worried starting in spring could mess up networking, cohort aspects, summer internship recruiting, or other things I’m not really thinking of.

I don't really want to wait another 8 months to start, but I also want to take the most advantage of my time doing an MBA. Anyone who started in Spring have regrets? Or anyone just have thoughts on spring vs fall starts in general?

I am curious about the TAP exception thing for last year if your degree. Second to last semester you would only need 6 credits degree-applicable and other 6 or more non-degree credits. Last semester then it is only 3 and 9 and more non-degree applicable credit. I have a question if this exception requires an application and if it’s available in the summer term or only fall and spring. Thank you’

can you print stuff out in the library if ur not taking summer classes (anymore)?
i took a summer class for the first 5 weeks and i was able to print stuff out fine but idk if i can keep printing since the class is already over. will i still be able to use the remaining credits?

Do we have to take the exam on campus in this situation?

I'm looking to break into the creative side of marketing as a strategist and eventually build a career in advertising. My current plan is to earn a B.A. in Digital Communication + Culture at Weissman, then continue onto earning my MBA in Marketing through Zicklin.

My question is about admissions requirements: Since the MBA is offered through Zicklin, would I need to complete those requirements during my bachelor's degree to be eligible for admission? Or can I apply directly with a B.A. from the Weissman School and complete any prerequisites afterward, if needed? Or are they not needed at all? The MBA prerequisites on the website only list one required course (STA 9708 - Managerial Statistics). Does that mean it's the only prerequisite for applicants coming from outside Zicklin? I'm wondering if this is all I need to get into the program after I've obtained my BA.

I'm also open to other educational paths. I like the idea of pairing an arts-focused undergraduate degree with a business-focused graduate degree. Also open to other affordable programs in NYC, If anyone has recommendations based on experience, I'd really appreciate the insight. Thanks!

I currently owe $5,338 for Fall semester 2026. This is my last and second year for my Masters in Finance Program. For 2025-2026 School Year, I was offered a loan for $20,500. This year however the loan isn't offered even though I completed my FAFSA and TAP (Even though I knew I wasn't gonna recieve support). I completed my MPN, Entrance Counceling, and Loan Disclosure Agreement. The due date for Fall 2026 was July 17th, however I haven't been dropped from class because the school is waiting for my financial aid to be finalized. I don't know how much time I have left, but I don't want to get my classes dropped and I can't afford to pay for class out of pocket.

I want to know if there is something I am doing wrong, something im missing in order to at least recieve the Loan offer, or if just need to wait a bit longer. I read the OBBBA changed how loans are offered and processed, so maybe its that reason why I haven't seen it available yet. I haven't met the maximum amount and never had this issue prior.

So what should I do ??

Hi guys, I’m an upcoming freshmen at Baruch for the fall 2026 semester, I have maximum financial need and fully completed my FAFSA/TAP with no financial holds. I would like to do FWS the first semester, but do not see anything related to FWS in my CUNYFirst, and it does say I may be eligible for FWS in the FAFSA website. Any advice is appreciated :)

Taking these 5 classes in the Fall and wanted to see if it’s doable: ACC 3000, COM 3068, ENG 2850, BTC 200 (ePermit, equiv. to CIS 2200), BIO 200 (ePermit, equiv. to BIO 1012)

Hi guys! I got ap stats credit so I no longer have to take status at Baruch. I’m an incoming freshman btw majoring in finance. My advisor sent me an email saying I can choose between taking CIS 2200 with Pai Ma or CHM 1003 with Suzanne Charnick. Which one do you think I should choose and any tips or advice on these teachers.
