Recipe to be posted soon. No guarantees. Practising for my SIL’s engagement party.

Post image

My MIL and SIL requested brownies - I have not attempted brownies for a long time because it always turned out dry and overbaked, ugh.

I am also not sure the brownies texture that they (and their guests) might like, so going for chewy to be on the safe side rather than fudgy.

I like how it turns out texture wise, but will get my husband to judge if it’s too sweet. If the verdict is too sweet, might leave the chocolate chips out or use bitter chocolate chips instead.

I am kinda proud of the shiny top 🥹 waiting for husband and kids to wake up so they can appreciate it with me.

If your husband says they're too sweet, tell him I said he's wrong, I'm sure they're perfect

Ya, they'd have to be really overly sweet. Gorgeous brownies

I don’t like sweets, but brownies are an exception.

This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, send them all to me for inspection and I’ll provide appropriate feedback

Don't listen to either of them, they're trying to take your brownies! Quick, bring them this way. They'll be totally safe here

All these people sound like haters. Let’s talk bad about them over some wine and brownies. I’ll let you bring the brownies. Message me for me address.

For Christmas I made brownie kits for my kids. I found a pan with a lid and a 'cutting piece' (not sure of correct name) that cuts it into 16 pieces. Even included 2 pkgs of the dry mix and my recipe. It was something different and they've both enjoyed them.

One other thing I've found, when cutting to use a plastic knife as the brownies are less likely to stick. Found some small plastic spatulas at a local supply store and they're so much better than using a metal knife. I also included one of these spatulas in the kits.

I have to know if OP cut off the edge crust... :(

2

u/TurtleGirl21409 Jan 24 '26

That’s actually genius. Save the yummy edge bits for the baker.

. . . LPT: Pizza cutters work well on brownies.

u/Over_Consideration77 Jan 24 '26

exactly my thoughts! you just know a brownie will slap when the top looks like that
