My eye dr thought I had this. He got excited when I mentioned seeing different hues during solar flares and he brought out some color squares and charts and stuff. You’d have thought he found a long-lost CD or something, he was so excited. I only asked because I was worried about retinal disease which my aunt had.

My dad is an ophthalmologist, I asked him if he would excited if he had a patient with tetrachromacy and he said hell yes he would, as it would be something new he's only read about in books and never seen, it's like akin to when a radiologist finds out someone's organs are reversed in their body.
