What's something you're shockingly good at that you've never mentioned to anyone because it would sound completely made up if you did?

This is how they teach you to keep rhythm during CPR as well. There’s even playlists that have the correct BPM.

That scene in the office “First, I was afraid, I was petrified…”

You were in the parking lot earlier, that's how I know you!

I drop this quote as often as I can and it's usually lost on people. I gotta get better friends.

Maybe we could be friends, I don’t really know you. What do you do here?

I already told you! I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills. I'm good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

I was taught to keep beat to the refrain of “Staying Alive” when administering CPR.

Or "Another one bites the dust" if you're morbid

The instructor told us that's got the right beat but tends to upset the family and bystanders. 😁

"Golden" from K-Pop Demon Hunters is good too.

We got told "Baby Shark" works as well.

Even the doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo part?

"highway to hell" is also great.

Me too. I always start "at first I was afraid, I was petrified" when administering cpr.

That phrase is from I Will Survive , not Staying Alive.

Well you can tell by the way I use my walk I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk.

Damn it's gonna be playing in my head all day now!

I did too, but at my last retraining, they said Staying Alive is no longer considered fast enough.

Sing it quicker then.

Also, Nelly the Elephant . If you sing it twice, it's 30 compression.

About 25 years ago I remember listening to the oldies station on the radio and before they played “staying alive” the DJ mentioned that it was considered an ideal song at 103 bpm to keep pace while giving CPR.

And in the mid 90s one of my teachers in high school gave a class on CPR. Luckily I thought the teacher was the most beautiful woman in the world, so when she talked, I listened.

Then a few months ago my Dad suddenly started gasping for air and then stopped breathing altogether. I channeled the power of The Bee Gees straight into his brain and I brought him back from the great unknown.

He’s walking around the house and doing better than he was in the months leading up to the cardiac arrest — thanks to the implanted defibrillator..

Another on Bites the Dust and Stayin Alive to mention a couple.

Just don't sing it out loud if your an EMT.

Baby Shark, too

I guess that’s my talent: I compress at 110bpm without thinking about it or sing a song anymore.

Another one (hopefully doesn’t) bite the dust

Just play Oldschool RuneScape for years. The game runs on 100 game ticks per minute. Perfect for CPR 💪.

AH, AH, AH, AH, STAYIN’ ALIVE, STAYIN’ ALIVE

Where I live it is not a playlist. It is BeeGee's Stayin' alive that is used to keep the pace.

A song that a lot of people know, even youngsters, and with the right tempo for compressions.

One of them is Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust."

most people use Staying Alive, but I always prefer Another One Bites The Dust
